Piktochart is VERY similar to Easel.ly. It's essentially another tool to create an infographic. There is no argument about which tool is better - just simply preference. My preference is Piktochart. I think it's more straight forward than Easely.ly, but the charts can get messy.
From experience - students spend too much time still with text. They aren't thinking how to convey the text through the images. They still are typing paragraphs. I would recommend that when you implement this to stress the point of an infograph.
